T.A.S.C.O. Tip: Studies show newer back supports offered by industrial supply companies are working. Employees have fewer back injuries and problems. These products also ensure employees retain proper posture and movement, two habits that have also been shown to reduce back strain on the job.
When stretching, always use a yoga or similar mat on a hard floor. Lie on your back. Keeping your left leg straight, bring your right leg up — bent at the knee — and grab it with your arms. Push it gently against your chest and hold a few seconds. Repeat with the other leg. Also, stand against a wall with knees slightly bent. Push the small of your back flat against the wall and hold for 10 seconds or as long as you can hold it comfortably. Repeat up to five or more times.
When these stretches are combined with the numerous back supports on the market, it's likely employees will feel better at work, preventing more accidents.
